Hi, I’m Nitya (níh-tya)!
My superpower is a deep-rooted love for food and the ability to translate taste into visually craveable imagery.
Based in Austin and Seattle—but frequently found traveling—I am a photographer and tabletop director specializing in food, drink, cookbooks, and hospitality. I create vibrant, appetite-driven visual content for commercial and editorial clients, following the light to capture the magic of every flavor, space, and place.
My obsession with food and color is deeply rooted in my South Asian heritage. For me, gathering around a table to share meals and stories has always been a sacred tradition, and I bring that same sense of warmth and celebration to every frame I capture.
With a background in architecture and graphic design, I approach every project with a structural eye for light, texture, and space. I love weaving these elements into compelling visual narratives that are uniquely tailored to each client’s brand.
I work locally in Austin, Seattle, San Francisco, and beyond - partnering with brands, agencies and dreamers to create stills and stop-motion for advertising, packaging, retail and social campaigns.
Let’s make something delicious together.
